If you’ve found yourself in this corner of the internet, you’ve probably thought critically (obsessed) over every book you’ve had the pleasure of reading. I’m glad to tell you that you’re not alone in this—every time I read a book, it bounces around my mind until I couldn’t possibly think of anything else. So, I decided to write my thoughts and share them for anyone who was interested. Two of my favorite things in the world are to read and write, so why not put the two together?
I have a relatively diverse taste in books, so hopefully there’s a little something for everyone here. Aside from writing about books, I’d like to work on a project of sorts. Throughout history, there’s been a lot of queer writers who weren’t allowed to be open, or even got their queerness erased. Emily Dickinson, Sappho, and Oscar Wilde, to name some of the most well known erasures of queer identity. For this project, I’d like to dive into their life and work and highlight the queer undertones in them.
Just as a reminder: I’m no professional! English literature was far from my major in college (I studied psychology), but I’ve loved to read since I was a kid. Everything I write is just my opinion, and you’re allowed to (respectfully) disagree with me or each other! This is all just for fun! With that being said, please enjoy!
